69th Festival Puccini
The Puccini Festival at Torre del Lago is one of the most eagerly-awaited events in Tuscany's rich cultural scene. It is the most important opera festival in Italy and the only one in the world dedicated to the composer Giacomo Puccini, which takes place every summer, in July and August, in the very places that inspired Puccini's immortal melodies.

Puccini's operas are staged in a large open-air theatre with 3,400 seats on the shores of Lake Massaiuccoli, surrounded by greenery right in front of the Casa Museo del maestro Puccini where the musician's remains are kept and where one can admire artefacts and memorabilia from Puccini's life and glorious artistic career.
